Launched by designer Bronwyn Lowenthal in 2002, Lowie is a sustainable womenswear label with a love for traditional handicraft techniques.
The designs show their love of colour, inspired by elements of craft and incorporating traditional techniques such as hand embroidery, knitting and hand screen printing. Lowie aims to be as ethical and sustainable as possible, putting the issues of sustainability and renewability at the forefront of their collections. They seek sustainably made fabrics, manufacture with low energy consumption in addition to working with manufacturers they trust and who pay their workers fairly.
Moving forward, they intend to continue to provide women with sustainable and fashionable options, to create high quality garments that are feminine, fun, and also functional. They hope to find ways to become even more sustainable to ensure a better world for future generations.
