Marmalade's super chunky merino yarn was botanically hand-dyed in Cardiff Wales using organic Seafoam. The merino was slightly felted during this process creating a more textured feel than the Marmalade undyed range.
Seafoam creates such a wonderful colour, this is a dark aqua blue with hints of yellow and green. As with all plant dyes the colours are so soft and special. The yarn takes the dye beautifully and really stands out compared to wool colours using standard dyeing techniques.
in addition to being supersoft and incredibly warm. A favourite from Marmalade's range of super chunky merino wool. Spun and dyed in Yorkshire. This is a stunning colour for your super chunky knitting projects, works brilliantly in both accessories and garments.
Both light and soft, Merino is one of the best and most exclusive wools because of its incredible properties. Merino keeps you completely warm, once it has been knitted the fibres take on a unique quality allowing them to maintain your ideal body temperature through better insulation. Helping you to stay warm when the weather is cold and cool when the weather is hot.

The thing about Merino wool is that it's a 100% natural, renewable, biodegradable fibre. Meaning it can biodegrade in both land and water and won't shed any microplastics when thrown away or washed. In addition Merino wool has long-wearability and low-care requirements. Pure wool is kind to our planet because each year sheep grow a new coats!
