If you're searching for a scent with character, 4160Tuesdays is the right brand for you. An artisan perfumery based in London where they've been handmaking adventurous scents since back in 2011. They create all their own perfumes in small batches of around 50-200 bottles at their Hammersmith studio, where they also run fragrance making workshops.

Their perfumes are inspired by a place or a person at a certain moment. Created by their perfumer, Sarah McCartney (by the way she isn't related to any of the other more famous McCartneys but she does get asked quite often).

The name? They say that if they live until they're 80, they have 4160 Tuesdays. So on a Tuesday, do something different. At the moment, they're using theirs to make perfume.

4160 Tuesdays like to make the world a lovelier place starting with the small space around them and working outwards. 4160 Tuesdays stands out from the other niche fragrance brands not only because it’s a British, creative, witty and pioneering company, but for an independent house handmaking all their own fragrances, they're unusually affordable. They want everyone who’s interested in their fragrance to be able to try them.

Their perfumes are appreciated by people who have a sense of adventure and are willing to push their fragrance boundaries. 4160 Tuesdays are stocked in a small but special collection of online stores and shops around the world.

They also create bespoke scents for people, events and organisations.

  • They handmake and bottle all their perfumes at their studio in Hammersmith. The majority of perfume brands have their fragrances made by specialist perfumers to their exact needs.
  • The only powered machinery they use regularly is the balance scales for weighing raw materials, so their overall energy use is tiny.
  • They bottle their perfumes by hand - with a jug, pipette or funnel.
  • They like their packaging to be reusable, recycled and beautiful.
  • Their boxes come from Projectworks London, so transport is minimal and they are 100% recyclable.
  • Their bottles are made in France, then printed in England by Pochpac.
  • No EU cosmetics are allowed to be tested on animals, so their's aren't.
  • Their products are vegetarian. Most are vegan, but a couple do contain honey absolute or butter extract.
Thanks so much for the support for the sale 4160 Tuesdays, I'm so pleased with the Perfume and the book. So lovely (and important) to have UK brands uniting and supporting this sale.
The St Mungos Online Sale on www.independentboutique.com will run until  midnight on Sunday the 21st November.

All profits will go to St Mungo's.
Thanks again for your support.
